Flar Equine Experience

Rachael is a certified EAL Facilitator and has completed her diploma in Human Services with a focus on people living with disabilities.

Rachel works full time, while still finding time in her busy schedule to be a volunteer firefighter with Station 65 Halifax Regional Fire. She has her sports coaching certification and has coached at the high school and provincial levels in Halifax, and led several girls’ softball teams with great success.

Rachael’s passion for helping people grew even more when she started to become more acquainted with and devoted to the equine world. Having very little equine experience, she went on to develop her skills with the FLAR Equine Experience. She quickly learned the power horses can have in helping connect people through their kindness and by building healthier lives.

To be able to ride or even walk a horse, one must exude a feeling of calmness and work on their ability to be in a clear mental state. Learning to find a way to be in control of one’s thoughts for the comfort of the horse can aid in dealing with anxiety, depression and boost self esteem.

Working closely with FLAR Equine Experience, Rachael helps make an everlasting change by empowering individuals, modifying behavior and teaching new skills that allow humans to truly connect with themselves and with horses. Flar Equine has different programs and services that are tailored to benefit each individual’s needs as well as their families through difficult times and challenges.
